Boreal Access is proud to offer wireless services in downtown Grand Marais. If you're already a Boreal member and want to add WiFi access to your account, please contact the Boreal office.
If you're just visiting and want to use the WiFi network for
the day, weekend, week, etc., you can set up an account online by using
one of the following links. (You don't need a
Wifi account to access the sign-up pages): If you prefer, you can also set up an account by calling the Boreal office at 218-387-9471 or stopping by our office in the lower level of the Sawtooth Mountain Clinic (at the intersection of Gunflint Trail and County Rd 7) during our office hours of 9:00am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Below is our price list for a temporary WiFi account:
You may have one computer logged in at a time with your wifi service. If you need to have more than one computer using the service at the same time, you will either need to network the two computers so they can share a single Internet connection, or you will need to create a separate account for the second computer. This system was installed on June 24, 2004. The coverage area includes the Grand Marais harbor area and, as of summer 2005, extends over much of residential Grand Marais. There are also hotspots available at the the Java Moose, the Blue Water Cafe, Grand Marais Fusion, Fireweed Commons, and outside the Clearview General Store in Lutsen.
